Thanks for investing the time to consider joining Tuza.
When joining a company at the early stages of it's growth story there's often more than first meets the eye. This is our opportunity to help you to understand why your next role should be with us.
1. What we do
At Tuza, we've raised $7m from leading investors to build the exchange for payments.
Our pricing platform enables the world's largest banks to generate real-time rates for payments by pricing risk instantly. Right now, this is most visible in our comparison engine, where we make it possible for SMBs to get the best rates on their card payments.
Since launch, over £3bn in card payments have been taken by merchants using Tuza. We work with some of the largest payment providers (Worldpay, Barclaycard, Revolut) and price comparison sites (uSwitch, Money.co.uk). Our product pipeline includes our own card terminal, launching in Q4 2024.
2. How we work
At Tuza, we've founded our working principles with influences from BaseCamp’s product development framework, Shape Up, Matt Lerner's Growth Levers and How to Find Them and Melissa Perri's Escaping The Build Trap.
The crux is that we like to focus on the ‘why’. Why are we building this product, or feature, and what outcome are we hoping for? We value focusing on our customers, output over input, and experiment more than we optimise.
We outline how we work in more detail here. This isn't static: we're constantly aiming to improve based on team feedback.
3. How we build
Our stack includes React, TypeScript, GraphQL, REST, Express, Relay, Prisma, Redis, Postgres, AWS, Styled Components and Storybook.
We like to try out different technologies and libraries when we feel like it's beneficial, particularly when building proof of concepts. Make your case and we’ll consider expanding our tech stack.
